| rough idea of setlist
set 1: intro, new planet, end of the world party, mami gato, some type of latin shuffle
set2: curtis, shine it*, new stuff, new stuff (possibly whiney bitches), legalize it, (don't know, was played at 9/29/01 show though)
encore 1: i wanna ride you
encore 2:chris bass solo>chubb sub
*medeski on piano/ chris solos in the middle, goes crazy for a moment
new stuff was fuckin' awesome
chris took 4 bass solos overall, all of them on upright rocked
long jams after new planet, E.O.T.W.P., shine it,
this is a rough set, i got almost all of it though, please add more.
this was a good show(my 8th), a lot of new songs. it's good to see children of ALL AGES come out and see mmw. (youth is wasted on the youth) chris was the mvp of the night with 4 tasty upright solos.

| second the mvp nomination for chris, the townsend impression made the night worth it fur sure
medeski had his keyboards arranged differently from the last few times i saw them.. with his piano completely facing away, and his hammond in the front, like he turned his whole setup 90 degrees clockwise, i also watched it from pretty much behind the stage, on the railing of the balcony... that was the best vantage i've ever had at one of their shows, i could actually hear them playing, not the PA (every time i've been to the rave the sound has sucked.. there's too much echo in that place), but yeah, from where i was sitting i could watch all three of them (although billy's back was turned to me for most of it) and HE SANG!!! i've never seen him sing before.. it was actually pretty good... especially considering the beat he was playing while singing... whatever that harder song was in the second set with chris playing chords on the electric and some weird time signature, very hardcore... and they ended it with a nice little chubb subb |

| hey me again, the sound at the rave does suck. i forgot to add 'Sasa' to the 2nd set, i think it was the first song played after the possible 'Whiney Bitches' (that might have been the one where chris was playing chords in the crazy time sig.) I missed Billy's singing because some asshole really wanted to borgart some kids j........he fooled everyone into believing that he was security until he puffed on that fuckin' thing. In all of my 8 shows i've never heard billy sing and that fucking twat took away my opportunity. pardon my freedom. |

| The first song first set was a cover of a Polly Jean Harvey song. I think it was 'Who the Fuck' off of her latest release 'Uh huh her.' Then second set MMW did a reprise of the same song.
Does anybody know how to check? If so please drop me a line. - Rebecca |
